Expedition members -
Name: Bill Stewarts RP'd by: Vman0 Role: Engineer Stats: Action:3 Stealth:2 Skill:3 Equipment: Boltcutters, Assault Rifle, and Radio unit Expedition Group: Team VTD a.k.a Mauve Shirts Bio: A private eye from the EPA, he was sent to Isla Sorna to investigate the rampant invasive dinosaurs on the island, as well as the litter and junk left behind after it's abandonment by InGen. This assignment wasn't voluntary, as the higher ups didn't like his abrasive personality and guile, which led to his 'reassignment to antarctica'. He also made a blood oath during his high school years, but who he made that oath with is a mystery.
Name: Randy Archer RP'd by: DiverseInterests47 Role: Paleontologist Stats: Action:3 Stealth:1 Skill:4 Equipment: Medical kit, Road flare, Ghillie suit Expedition Group: Team VTD a.k.a Mauve Shirts Bio: Randy Archer loved dinosaurs ever since he was a kid. He studied them all throughout collage and helped on some digs as well, even meeting the later famous Dr. Alan Grant. However, upon hearing of the incident on Isla Nubar, his love for the once great creatures tempered off somewhat. Until one day when he was asked along as a consultant for the Isla Sorna expedition. It is up to him to act as a guide for the others and ensure their survival against creatures perfected by 65 million years of evolution.
Name: Gary Paladecki RP'd by: Temnizziv Role:Tracker Action:3 Stealth:3 Skill:2 Equipment: Tranquilizer, Binoculars, and Ka-Bar Knife Expedition Group: Team VTD a.k.a Mauve Shirts Bio:A sensitive nature lover at heart, he always preferred to deal with animals rather than the academic subjects of highschool. He lost his father on an automobile accident, and suffering from the resulting grief, had a falling out with a close friend. He eventually went to work for an environmental NGO before being hired by Hammond as a field scout for the expedition to Isla Sorna. He has an antagonistic relationship with Nick Van Owen due to ideological differences and Bill Stewarts for unspecified reasons.
Objectives: Free the caged dinosaurs to ensure BioSyn fails in its mission, find and free Dr. Levine, then get the hell out of there without being shot, crushed, gored, and or otherwise maimed! *Hidden Objective and bonus present
The Mamenchisaurus bellows a booming howl as it stomps over the remains of the fence, not at all phased by the few stray bullets that strike it and fail to penetrate. That only further enraged it. The Sauropod swings its hips around and slashes its tail across the parking space, knocking over and crushing multiple ATVs and jeeps that start leaking fuel everywhere. Chasing the BioSyn mercenaries, whom are firing into the air to try and either hit it or scare it off, it ends up right in the middle of camp. It's one hell of a distraction, but one that might not last forever; not alone at lease.
One of the punted ATVs pinwheels and rolls towards Bill and Dodgson!
Bill, do you
A. Try to smack the distracted Dodgson with your bolt cutters and then dive out of the way? (action roll) B. Dive behind the generator to get to cover immediately at risk of being shot at? (action roll)
Randy, do you
A. Regroup with Gary and go into the back of the camp near where Bill is? (stealth roll) B. Go in through the hole the Sauropod smashed through, alone but in the emptiest place? (stealth roll)
Gary, do you A. Head towards where Bill is towards the back where Dr. Levine was last seen? (stealth roll) B. Head around back towards the front of the camp where Randy is towards the dinosaur cages? (stealth roll)

Hmm I'm torn here. I want V to bash Dodgson's head in yet i also want him to find cover... Alright, V get to cover, or smack him with the boltcutters considering he does have a gun pointed at you. I also don't know whether i should back up V or Dive. I'm gonna back up Dive since V has what he needs to protect himself. (Option B)

Bill dove for the generator as one of the BioSyn mercenaries reflexively opened fire at him. Action roll! fcISuq2gp_ 3 + roll 1 = 4!.. Partial success!
Bill managed to jump behind the generators under a hail of burst fire, avoiding the bullets or having the thick sheet metal largely block them; though he dropped his own gun in the frenzy after its strap got caught on the metal and tore off. However the gunfire did manage to attract the attention of something else. The Mamenchisaurus bellowed and charged towards the sound of it, having learned guns meant threats and pain, thus the firearms going off across camp were only fueling its rage. The Sauropod smacked an ATV with its tail, sending it flying towards the generator. Dodgson and several of the mercenaries scramble, but the one firing at Bill is too distracted and gets crushed and thrown back by the projectile. Getting shot at by another poor fool who can't tell his weapon isn't doing squat, the Mamenchisaurus turns to give chase, it's tail sliding by and swinging towards the generator.
Meanwhile, Randy opted that the best route was simply the most direct and headed for the now massive entry way the Sauropod had plowed through. Stealth roll! p_ 1 + roll 5 + ghillie bonus 2 = 8!... Success
Managing to slip by as the Mamenchisaurus went about its warpath, Randy snuck by the mad thunder and towards where Dr. Levine was last seen. He hears the familiar voice of the doctor crying out through the chaos, and finds him handcuffed to a pole near the center of camp.
"You?! InGen?! Quickly that Apatosaurus is on a rampage!", he yelped.
"Actually it's a Mamenchisauru-, arg no time! Where's the key to these things?", Randy barked while grabbing at Levine's bonds.
"Dodgson! That fiend Dodgson had them since he shot me out of a tree!"
Randy swore quietly.
Gary circled around, sprinting as fast as he could through the chaos to catch up to Randy. Stealth roll! p_ 3 + 2 = 5!... Failure!
Unfortunately for him, his trip was cut short when a massive, sirenous bellow ripped the air apart. The Mamenchisaurus smashed a jeep full of shooting poachers aside with such force it was shot off its wheels and the now airborne vehicle smashed through the fencing beside Gary! Miliseconds ticked by as the now pinwheeling mass of twisted metal rushed towards him, spinning tail over front, with even less time to action!
Bill, do you A. Try to recover your gun while rushing to the left towards the cages? (skill roll) B. Try to recover your gun while rushing to the right towards a more open area? (skill roll) C. Leave the gun and stay behind cover? (action roll)
Gary, do you A. Duck (action roll) B. Dive to the left behind a log (action roll) C. Dive to the right behind more fencing? (action roll)
Randy, do you A. Go towards the generator to find Dodgson or Bill's (boltcutters)? (Action roll) B. Try to scour around the cages for a toolbox for something that could cut the handcuffs? (stealth roll) C. Run back to camp and get the trailers for safety and tools? (action roll)

What horrendous luck! I choose... B.
V, i think you should retrieve your weapon and head towards the cages.
Dive, umm try A.

Bill dove for his gun while eying the cages to his left, trying to time it right to avoid getting shot or hit by the rampaging Sauropod. Skill Roll! VVxV3x28p_ 3 + roll 5 = 8!... Success!
Bill charged off to the side after rolling to his feet, successfully grabbing his gun and rushing just as a hail of gunfire shredded the ground he'd been standing on. It was Dieter's last mistake as it drew the Mamenchisaurus' full attention. There was a fundamental rule with animals. Carnivore or herbivore, big or small, young or old, if it's got a mouth it can bite. And while its head might have been small in proportion to its body, it still was enough to engulf Dieter's upper body and yank him off the ground before flinging him away.
Gary saw the oncoming debris and took the logical route, the shortest one. Hitting the deck, he prayed the vehicle would pinwheel over him. Action roll! p_
3 + roll 3 = 6!... Success!
Managing to time and space it just right, Gary dove his head down just as the burning vehicle spiralled above him and smashed into a tree several dozen yards behind him; erupting in a petrol fueled fireball. Looking at the camp he could see it in whole. The poachers were beginning to regroup and go for the big guns. If one of them had a caliber big enough and got enough shots off, the InGen team's "distraction" might not be able to do so for long. Gary looked in two directions, the vehicle depot and the cages to weigh his options.
"Alright already, I'm going to get your damn freedom!", Randy snapped after having heard Dr. Levine's insentient complaints and rambling for more than 10 seconds.
"Wait you fool! You must listen! BioSyn! They caught a young one!", Levine barked.
"A young what?!"
Levine's eyes grew wide and his face cold, "Something that will make or break InGen or BioSyn's plans!"
Another hail of gunfire rocked the camp and the Mamenchisaurus bellowed again to chase down the attacker. Randy growled, not having any time for a ramble and instead just working off the logic of "something important in the cages". No more time to talk, just action as he rushed out. Looking to where the generator was and remembering Bill had boltcutters on him, he opted to go there. Action roll! p_ 3 + roll 5 = 8!... Success!
Managing to make his way through screaming BioSyn personnel and the wrathful Sauropod, Gary came upon the generator and glimpsed Bill rushing for the cages just as a dead body went flying out of the Sauropod's mouth and swung past him. Randy's stomach squirmed and he sprinted after Bill. But as he does he glimpses something. A hatted man raising a gun and pointing it at Bill's back while shouting orders to others no listening. Randy stands beside a smaller dinosaur cage and tries to ponder what to do.
Bill, do you A. Go for an additional tool in the machining chest rack nearby to guarantee you have the right tool to cut the cages open? (action roll) B. Go for the right most cage containing the Parasaurolophus to free it? (skill roll) C. Go for the right most cage containing the two Stegosaurus to free them? (skill roll)
Gary, do you A. Go for the cages to try and help Bill with his rolls? (+2 to any of Bill's rolls) B. Go for the vehicle yard and cut the lines with your knife to cause a gas explosion/fire? (skill roll) C. Sprint back to base and drive the trailers into the fray for easier getaway and distraction? (action roll)
Randy, do you A. Pick up and throw a beer bottle at Dodgson to throw off his aim? (action roll) B. Open the doors to the medium sized dinosaur cage to your side to try and send it upon him? (skill roll) C. Throw a road flare (7 left) at Dodgson to blind and/or burn him? (skill roll) ··

V, try going for additional tools.
Dive, open the cage and release the metaphorical kraken(considering we were going to do so anyway).
And i think i might go to retrieve the trailers or cause another explosion, or perhaps back up V... What do you guys think?

Already changed my answer. Plus, if it makes or breaks the companies' plans, then it must be an extremely iconic dinosaur. Now, what is the most iconic dinosaur ever?

Rex, of course. But I suspect that it may be a Raptor in all actuality. Argh, I don't know which choice to pick... I reluctantly choose Option B.

Thinking fast, Bill spies and tears over a machining chest to try and find the right tools, muttering to himself about things he recognizes but knows would be useless. Torque wrenches, vice grips, drivers.. Action roll! 4tjc908Sp_ 3 + roll 2 = 5!... Partial success!
While he couldn't find the power cutters nearby, Bill did find something almost as good. A pair of grip jaws he recognized the brand of. Snatching them up, he twisted off his grip's head and fit the newer, beefer set on. He tested them with a satisfied snap.
"Groovy."
Unable to see the dinosaur inside during the heat of the moment, Randy tried to rip out the latch bar and set it loose with the prayer it would charge forward and not to the side! Skill roll! p_ 4 + roll 4 = 8!... Success!
He threw open the latch and heard a loud braying akin to a very angry hawk mixed with a bull, before a two legged creature rushed out. In a glimpse, Randy identified it as a Pachycephalosaurus that charged out. Dodgson noticed it and his eyes practically burst from his head. He tried to bring his gun around and fire but the dinosaur came at him like a bull out of the pen, slamming into the gun so hard the stock shattered and Dodgson was sent hurtling back into a tent. Confused and angered, the "Pachy" joined the Sauropod in charging about the camp.
Gary sprinted for the vehicle depot, drawing out his trusty knife and and looking to the nearest truck. He knew if he could cut the lines of one or two, the chain reaction of them being bunched up with be more than enough. Mentally calculating he threw himself forward! Skill roll! p_ 3 + roll 5 = 8!.. Bonus success!
In a move that make any stuntman worth this salt proud, Gary baseball slide across the loose dirt and foliage and under the raised jeep. Without pause mid-slide he managed to gut the fuel lines of one truck and dove under the other. Sawing through the second line and letting the ground get drenched in gasoline, he scrambled up to his feet beside one truck. Grabbing the gushing line to hose down the jeep parked right next to it; our impromptu action-hero gnashed the flint striker on the butt of his knife against the cab to make a spark that lit the fuel before running as fast as he could. The resulting shockwave threw him off his feet, but the sudden rush of fires and smoke got many of the camp's attention. Winds blew the smoke and cast a cloak and fog across the camp.
Visibility rolls -1, but all stealth rolls + 3 for the next few turns!
Bill, do you A. Go for the right most cage containing the Parasaurolophus to free it? (skill roll) B. Go for the right most cage containing the two Stegosaurus to free them? (skill roll)
Randy, do you A. Go and help Bill? (+2 to his rolls) B. Check on the tent to see if Dodgson is out of the picture or not? (stealth roll)
Gary, do you A. Write a one-liner as you walk away from the fireball and find the others? (stealth roll) B. Write a one-liner as you sprint away from the fireball to find a gun for defense? (stealth roll)

(Option A) "I'm Batman!"
Admittedly, I'm not the best with one-liners. V, free the Parasaurolololololophus. Dive, see if Dodgson is down for the count(wanna make sure that we've defeated the villain) or help V, the choice is up to you.

Bill eyed his prospected, "Well, this will probably end well... Or not, since this island is filled with angry Indian ghosts that can't hunt the dinosaurs. Never mind the BioSyn money launderers and amoral lawyers."
"Back!", Randy shouted as he charged up to his comrade and nearly made Bill jump out of his skin when he saw the shaggy "bigfoot" looking ghillie suit barreling towards him in a camp full of mercenaries and dinosaurs.
"******! God damn it, Randy!", Bill growled while whacking himself on the chest.
"Apologies for later I swear, we need to cut Levine free. That Dodgson guy has the keys."
"Yeah, and I have better!", Bill held up the boltcutters, "What's say we try them out first?"
He motioned to the cages. Putting the now upgraded boltcutters to use, Bill looked between the two cages containing the Stegosaurus and Parasaurolophus. He gulped after eying the former's thagomizer spines and felt a tingle of phantom pains in his leg.
"... Yeah just going to stave that one for now," he muttered before going for the latter cage. Skill roll! h9Avt8AXp_ 3 + roll 6 + role bonus 2+ Randy assist bonus 2 = 13!... Bonus success!
Parasaurolophus thundered out of the cage as soon as the bolt was cut and Randy yanked the barred door open. Thankfully the Hadrosaur only paused to look at its rescuers before braying out a loud call that sounded almost like a trumbone and charging off to no doubt add to the pandemonium.
"I'm Batman."
Gary growled as he turned away and wish her had a camera as the fire's heat blew past him. Thankfully the others weren't too hard to find, he just had to follow where the Parasaurolophus charging past came from before the elephant-sized hadrosaur bulldozed through several tents.
Stealth roll! p_ 3 + roll 6 + scenario bonus 3 = 12!... Bonus success due to class bonus!
As he went to the cages, the tracker had a stroke of luck even as the rampaging Sauropod punted over another tent to spill the contents. A scope that fit the tranquilizer gun or Bill's assault rifle (+2 to any rolls using them)! Stashing it as he knew it be useful later, Gary managed to come upon the cages just as Bill and Randy beheld the clearly angered and defensive Stegosaurus.
Team, decide for yourselves the actions to take. The Stegosaurus must be freed, but it is clearly aggressive in defense of its infant and might attack as soon as its free. You need to -Free it and its offspring -Free whatever the species in the last cage is (needs to be ID'd by either Randy or Gary (field guide) -Open the Stegosaurus cage without one of you getting impaled on the tail spikes -Get back to Dr. Levine and free him (can try to find Dodgson's keys or use the cutters on the handcuffs) -Get the hell out of the camp!
Decide which sequence to follow and what to use. You may use any of your equipment as well as the trailers. The camp is currently on fire, has armed mercenaries running around panicking, a rampaging Sauropod, and now two other dinosaurs running amok. ·

Okay, we definitely need to find a way to get that Stego to ignore us and go after the BioSyn guys. Tarb, could the top of the cages support my weight? Because the rest of my plan for the Stego kind of hinders on that.
Edit: Anyway, my plan is, use the bolt cutters to free Levine, then we free the Stego, while on top of the cage so that he can't see us. After that, I chuck a flare at the BioSyn guys. After that, we save the mystery dino (which I ID), then get the hell out of there.

Let's wait for V's input.
